Open Mat #2

Second open mat night. Another small group. Nogi again. Me, Big Jon, Nick, Don, and Alan, with Adam to supervise. Rolled with Nick for a good while. Just nice ‘n’ easy to warmup, slowly getting a little faster. Rolled with Don a little bit, largely static holding and waiting for him to move. Almost had armbar from mount — even got my arm all the way through like Justin had said on Wednesday — but couldn’t quite pull that arm out. Tried to lock in a triangle, and switched from triangle to reverse triangle, but my legs gave out after so much static work and I couldn’t finish it. Realized after that I should’ve switched to an armbar instead of just fixating on the first submission I see.
