Book Report, March 2013

Whew, I’m finally done with being sick. Some codeine cough syrup helped kick the last of it out. Still not feeling terribly great, though, so am sitting out one more night from BJJ. (Since when did I start prioritizing my health over my training? Hrmph.)

  • Guns, Germs, & Steel, Jared Diamond. A history of the world, tracing what allowed some civilizations to thrive & conquer others. Pretty neat (though not so great on the Kindle, as most of the charts were spaced funky, and none of the maps or images were displayed. Oh well.).
  • Fast Food Nation, Eric Schlosser. A history of the fast-food industry and its ramifications throughout American society. Interesting read. (Also, not gonna eat at fast food again if I can help it. Yeah…).

The rest of my free time this last month was focused on either the Skyrim DLC or Ni No Kuni (which is pretty awesome).
