I started back at my morning group lifting class today.
- Waking up at 5:30am, ugh
- 24 degrees!
- All my callouses have softened
- I can’t feel my legs
- So tired now!
So they had noticed that they were hitting the same workout set after 3 weeks. While they’re working on fixing that, today we got to pick the workout, aiming from one not on the normal rotation. So we picked the one with the trap bar deadlift (wohoo!).
A1. box jumps: 3×10 (18″)
A2. pushups: 3×10
A3. pullups: 3×10 (green band)
B. Trap bar deadlift: 1x3x80lbs (bar), 6x3x130lbs (hello, bodyweight+!)
C1. lunge: 4×12 (+15lbs dbs)
C2. SHELC: 4×12
C3. hanging knee raise: 4×12
D1. air squats (w/ bottom hold during rest) x8
D2. situps x8
I felt pretty good in A and B, but by the middle of C I was starting to struggle. Whaddya mean I can’t just pick right back up where I left off over a month ago? And then the tabata squats! Coming out of the hole after the hold: atrocious!
