The 4 Hour Chef, Tim Ferris. Wowza. This was a Christmas present to myself, lol. There’s more to this book than just cooking. Part cookbook, part food science, part crazy experiments, this book was a lot of fun.
Modernist Cuisine at Home, Nathan Myhrvold and Maxime Bile. So here’s where it gets fun — on Thursday, I read the “Science” chapter of T4HC, in which he talks about the series Modernist Cuisine (5 volumes, over 2k pages, over 1500 recipes, over 5000 pictures). Then later that day, my sister and brother-in-law gave me my Christmas present: Modernist Cuisine at Home. Jaw-dropping amazing stuff. Again, part cookbook, part food science, and part crazy experiments.
