Rain, sleet, and snow

on October 28, 2011

Rained last night, sleeted today. Supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow by tomorrow. 90% chance. And it’s only October! We usually don’t see snow until December or January.

My ribs apparently resented my earlier assertion that they were fine and so proceeded to nag at me all day long. Lovely. Also, left hand doesn’t want to work (won’t close all the way, and then doesn’t like to push) and my right ankle, for reasons unknown, suddenly decided that it was sprained. Stop that! No one touched you! Argh. Makes things challenging, certainly, when random body parts stop working properly.

Fundamentals class was small: three of us (2 blues & 1 purple) and Andrew. (Apparently, BJJ can be rained out. Who knew?) So short warmup and then drilled breaking guard and basic knee cut-through pass. We left off drilling early, though, and rolling commenced and continued on through Open Mat time. I rolled with Nick for a while, with a long break in the middle. He let me climb all over him, even after declaring that he was going to go crazy. Silly man. Then with Adam, who came in for Open Mat.

Class in the morning, if I’m not snowed in! 😛
