Morning Madness

So we’ve had morning jiu-jitsu classes going for about a month, but I’ve been waiting until I was moved in (and so had a shower closer to the academy) before going. Well, the lovely previous owners took the shower curtain rods with them, and because we’re painting the bathrooms, I still don’t have a working shower. I was finally tired of not getting to the early class, so I went this morning anyway.

Seven of us and Tim this morning. Short roll to warm up, with Jess. Then drilling variations on the same double-leg. We didn’t start with the lift one, but I can’t get my brain to remember which one we did start with. Some kind, anyway.

(My back, btw, hates me right now. I did tweak it something good working with Steve on Monday, and I’ve exacerbated it with every rep since then. Proper posture would be my friend, if I’d let it.)

Drilled for ~45 minutes. Morning are mostly drilling, which is fine by me. Then short rolls with Ray and with John.

I’d intended to use the shower at work, being shower-curtain-less at home, but I had to stop by the house anyway for some protein and to leave my gi (so it wouldn’t bake in my car and stink), so I decided to make a mess and use a shower at home. Didn’t do too badly; the floor needed to be cleaned anyway. 😉
