Hey Grrl!

We started BJJ about the same time… and now that I’m at a Gracie school, we’re almost “family”! Just wanted to say I’m enjoying your blog a lot. I started grappling through a different martial art (kajukenbo, which includes judo and jiu jitsu) in April ‘08, but jettisoned kajukenbo to focus exclusively on BJJ and Gracie jiu jitsu (Relson specifically) last month. I too am stuck at a weight I don’t care for, though sloooowly I am transforming fat into muscle. I weigh 130 and look OK– but would really rather be 118 or so. I look forward to reading the book FLTS you mentioned.

Hey, keep up the good work! :)

SUP! I have an interview on fight works podcast too… and although it’s not specifically on women in BJJ, I do get asked that question that Caleb loves so much about dating in the sport…

Thank you for all these great links. :) Also, I am friends with Kevin Howell and he would be stoked to see you mention his book. Very cool!

It’s a very awesome book. My game has gotten a lot better since I started incorporating advice from it.

Your Aesopian links are broken. Nuggets of advice is here: http://www.aesopian.com/?p=127

I don’t know where the other one is yet!

Oo, thanks for pointing that out, Neil. Seems Aesopian re-organized his site, and that changed the page URLs. Found the other one and updated them both.
