It seems rather silly to create a new post every week to say I’ll continue to work on the exact same things. So, here they are, and here they’ll stay, as it’s unlikely I’ll ever actually get to the point where I’m not working on these. Might add a weekly goal post for some specific things (standing guard pass, specific sweeps, whatever, etc.) instead of these big, overarching goals.

Great goals! This is something that I need to work on myself. I actually have no specific goals that I am working on right now in BJJ. I should!
I like having these big goals, especially if I feel I’m not having a good night. I can always remind myself to go for positions, keep pressure, and stay patient. So I can at least accomplish SOMEthing.
I’ve started making smaller goals (a few passes, escapes, and submission sequences) for each class. If nothing else, the list reminds my brain of what it already knows, and I think it starts to “see” and “recognize” the things on the list during rolls. (Well, at least it did tonight. With my brain, who knows what it’ll do next time!)
I agree about having goals and accomplishing something.
Also, I used to to set goals and it would take forever to review them or make new ones, so now I do them monthly. Weekly goals, that too often for me…
Everything runs out of my brain if I don’t write it down and look at it often.
So lots of goal-reviewing for me. The daily list is more a reminder of things that I know and can work on rather than a hard list of things I want to hit in class.
Of the three “P”s in this post, Patience is still the one I accomplish the least…
